The Fall Dinner is today! This is a very important fundraiser for our parish, and as always the success of the fundraiser rests largely on our shoulders. Please turn in all ticket sale income and left-over tickets today if possible. Payments made for purchasing returned tickets become tax-deductible donations. Everyone’s help is needed to make this a success. Even if you have not signed up to volunteer, please come by and find where you are needed.

Sign up in the hall for the Leaf It To Us event on Saturday, October 19, either to rake leaves or to have your yard cleared of leaves! Volunteers need to bring their own rakes and are invited back to church for a little lunch. We aim to be done around 1:00 p.m.

Thursday, October 24 – METROPOLITAN IAKOVOS NAME DAY DINNER – This Clergy Syndesmos Fundraiser supports the St. Iakovos Retreat Center. Our parish has budgeted a full table of ten ($1,000) and we look forward to filling it. If you would like to represent our parish at the dinner, please let Fr. Peter know by NO LATER than Sunday, October 20. Your help in covering the cost of this dinner through a good-will donation is greatly appreciated.

St. John will host an “All Saints” party for our youth, after vespers on Friday, October 25, with games and treats. Come dressed as a saint for an extra prize (other costumes allowed). We will have a trivia contest about popular saints and have fun while learning about the champions of our faith. Please let Jessica White know if you plan to attend. Adults are welcome to stay for the fun as well. Activities will run approximately 7:00-8:30 p.m.

St. George invites our youth to participate in an All Saints Fall Party on Wednesday, October 23, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The annual trick-or-treat–style program will feature the Twelve Apostles.
