We are in need of a sponsor for next week’s fellowship.
The prosfora this week was provided by Eleonora Rieck.
Please contact Fr. Peter if you would like to be a part of a new group helping serve meals at Green Square Meals approximately once a month.
As a security precaution, the side door will be locked except during Sunday services. During any service the doorbell will be turned off. Please come in the front door or ask for assistance during regular weekly services.
Those interested in making visits to nursing homes should contact Elleni Huerter.
The food bank continues to have much need for donations. Each time Carrol takes food there they weigh the church's donation, and our gifts are much appreciated. The food pantry donation box is in the narthex.
If you are interested in reading the epistle for Liturgies, please see Fr. Peter.
Please remember to look at the sign-up sheet for fellowship sponsoring for the month of September.
The Founders’ Day Picnic will be held today, at the Morgan Creek Park following the Divine Liturgy and memorial service for the founders of St. John’s. This is a potluck picnic with the church providing the main dish.
FALL DINNER: The sign-up sheet for helping at the event is posted in the church hall. As always, we need everyone’s help, so plan on attending and pick a shift or two that you can donate to this fundraiser.
Mark your calendars! Bible study on Revelation will start on the first week of September: Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m., from September 3 through December 3; and Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m., from September 4 through December 4. The Bible study will not meet the first week of October.
Sunday school will start the Sunday after Labor Day: September 8. Grades 6 and above will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays; younger students will meet following Holy Communion.
Everyone is welcome to learn how to chant on Saturday evenings before Great Vespers. Starting in September, arm yourself with the hymns of the Church!
