The prosfora this week were provided by Nadina Geistkemper in memory of her father, Mihai, Tula Margellos, and Regina Christodoulou.

We need oil (olive oil, but not “extra virgin”) for the lamps in the altar. Please let Fr. Peter know if you are able to provide oil or funds to obtain oil.

The sign-up for the 2014 fellowships is posted in the hall. Please remember juice for fellowship should not be red or dark-colored, in case of spills.

Please make sure you have fulfilled 2013 pledge obligations before the end of the year, if not done already. Preliminary financial reports were distributed as a reminder. For 2014, we have $61,745 pledged so far. Please fill out a pledge form if you have not done so yet! Forms should be in the narthex.

2014 calendars are here. Please bring your 2013 calendars back so that we can use the icons for Sunday school.

The outdoor blessing of the waters will take place on Saturday, January 4, at 4:30 p.m. on the bridge across First Avenue. St. John will then host vespers, celebrated with St. George and St. Raphael. If you are able, please bring a snack to share in fellowship and hospitality following vespers.

Starting Monday, January 13, and through the month of February, Fr. Peter will be blessing the homes of the St. John faithful. The schedule has gone out by email and will go out this coming Friday by regular mail to those who have not replied to the email, do not have email, or whose email addresses we do not have. Please contact the office as soon as possible if you would like to make a change in the schedule.

St. John altar feast services will include Great Vespers on Monday, January 6, at 6:00 p.m. and Orthros and Divine Liturgy on Tuesday, January 7, at 9:00 a.m. Come celebrate our patron saint!

The annual Philoptochos Outing will be on Tuesday, January 14, at 6:00 p.m. at the Outback Steakhouse.
