All the ladies of St. John’s Parish are cordially invited to a baby shower in honor of Juliana Dancer on Saturday, December 7, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Khouri home. RSVP by Sunday, December 1, to Regina Christodoulou, Kh. Irene Khouri, Presv. Magda Andronache, Elleni Huerter, or Carrol Chipokas. Consider signing a copy of a favorite children’s book instead of a greeting card, to build a library for the baby.

The prosfora this week were provided by Regina Christodoulou, Mary Dalamaggas, and Nadina Geistkemper in memory of her father, Mihai.

For the next couple of weeks we will be collecting funds for disaster relief in the Philippines. You can contribute in the second trays on Sundays, or by check to St. John, memo: Philippines relief.

Thank you all for your participation in the Fall Greek Dinner! We were able to serve about 715 meals. Ticket sale income (and unsold tickets) should be returned as soon as possible to be put to the benefit of the parish.

We have a few spots available for hosting fellowship in December. If you have not had a chance to host one this year please utilize the sign-up sheet in the church hall.

Please attend next Sunday’s Fall Parish Assembly. In addition to being in good canonical standing with the Church, the Archdiocese Regulations and our bylaws also state that all Eligible Voters need to fill out a Pledge Form (Stewardship Commitment Card) for 2013, pay all prior year balances at least 30 days before the Parish Assembly, and pay at least 75% of the current year’s pledge by the date of the Parish Assembly. Remember, if there is financial hardship to fulfill your pledged amount, speak to Fr. Peter and all adjustments will be made accordingly.

Acolyte training this Saturday, November 16, at 4:30 p.m. Current and aspiring acolytes will examine their role and duties during the services with Fr. Peter and Frank Dancer. Participants and their families are encouraged to stay for vespers afterwards.

Old flowers at the cemetery need to be removed, and other personal clean-up accomplished.
