Thank you all for your participation in the Fall Greek Dinner! We were able to serve about 715 meals. Ticket sale income (and unsold tickets) should be returned as soon as possible to be put to the benefit of the parish.

The parishioners of St. John have been invited to participate in the services commemorating St. Raphael of Brooklyn (first Saturday in November) at St. Raphael Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 722 E College St, Iowa City, IA, 52240, with Vespers this Friday at 7:00 p.m., and Orthros this Saturday at 8:30 a.m., followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. for the altar feast. 

We have a few spots available for hosting fellowship in December. If you have not had a chance to host one this year please utilize the sign-up sheet in the church hall.

The Metropolis of Chicago is sponsoring the Loyola University of Chicago exposition: “Greek Architects of Istanbul in the Era of Westernization,” October 27 – November 10, at the Damen Student Center, 6511 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago; free parking is available. A special opening reception will be held today from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
