The prosforo this week was provided by Tula Margellos and Eleonora Rieck.

Please contact Fr. Peter if you would like to be a part of a new group helping serve meals at Green Square Meals approximately once a month.

FALL DINNER: It’s not too early to start planning for the next event, coming up on October 13. The sign-up sheet for helping at the event is posted in the church hall. As always, we need everyone’s help, so plan on attending and pick a shift or two that you can donate to this fundraiser.

As a security precaution, the side door will be locked except during Sunday services. During any service the doorbell will be turned off. Please come in the front door or ask for assistance during regular weekly services.

The food bank continues to have much need for donations. Each time Carrol takes food there they weigh the church's donation, and our gifts are much appreciated. The recent drop-off this week weighed in at 98 pounds—our largest donation yet! The food pantry donation box is in the narthex area.

Those interested in making visits to nursing homes should contact Elleni Huerter.

Sign-up sheets both for Vacation Church School students and for volunteers to help with snacks, reading, teaching, and clean-up are available in the hall. VCS will be held 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9.

Please remember to remove anything which would make a mark (such as lipstick) before venerating the holy icons and especially before receiving Holy Communion.

The Andronache family greatly appreciates your prayers for Lucia's health and well-being concerning her eye surgery. Due to her follow-up appointment, Fr. Peter will not hold office hours this Wednesday, July 31.

Friday is the first registration deadline for the Labor Day Weekend family retreat with Dr. Philip Mamalakis in Green Lake, WI. Go to www.gocfamilysynaxis.org to register.

If you have young children and they become hungry during the service, please help them in the hall. Food should be kept out of the sanctuary.
