·       TODAY – SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES will resume January 2nd, 2011.

·       TODAY – FELLOWSHIP FOR 2011 – Please use the Sign-Up List in the Church Hall as we’d like to print it in the Jan-Feb Messenger. We need someone to sponsor Fellowship on Jan. 2, 2011.

·       TODAY – POINSETTIA DONATIONS – If you’d like to donate toward the cost of the the beautiful Poinsettias that helped beautify our church for Christmas and the days to follow, please sign your name on the Sign-Up List and give Michael Christodoulou the check a.s.a.p.

·       TODAY WALL CALENDARS FOR 2011 are available in the Narthex. Feel free to grab one.

·       Tue, Dec 28 – 5:30pm-6:30pm Life Lessons from Gospel Readings Class

·       Wed, Dec 29 – GREEK SCHOOL will resume after the beginning of the New Year. The 4:30pm Beginners Class will resume on Wed, Jan. 5 and the 5:30pm Adult Class will resume Wed, Jan. 12.

·       Sat, Jan 1 – St. Basil the Great - 9:00am Orthros; 10:00am Divine Liturgy

·       Sat, Jan 1 – 5:30pm Great Vespers & Altar Boy Training

·       Sun, Jan 2 – 9:00am Orthros; 10:00am Divine Liturgy; Fellowship (need sponsor)

·       Wed, Jan 5 – Eve of Theophany - 9:00am Royal Hours (Paramony of Theophany)

·       Thu, Jan 6 – HOLY THEOPHANY - 9:00am Orthros; 10:00am Divine Liturgy; & 10:15am GREAT BLESSIN OF THE WATER

·       Thu, Jan 6 – 5:30pm Great Vespers for St. John the Baptist Feast Day with Procession of St. John’s Icon and Artoklasia

·       Fri, Jan 7 – Synaxis of St. John the Baptist - 9:00am Orthros; 10:00am Divine Liturgy

·       Sat, Jan 8 – 4:00pm Pan-Orthodox OUTDOOR BLESSING OF THE WATER on 1st Avenue Bridge Downtown & PROCESSION TO OUR CHURCH for 5:30pm Great Vespers. Bishop Demetrios will preside over both of these Services. Refreshments will follow the Great Vespers.

·       Sun, Jan 9 – FEAST DAY CELEBRATIONS - 8:00am Orthros & 9:15am Divine Liturgy; Bishop Demetrios has to be in Chicago later in the afternoon so Our Services are earlier so that Bishop Demetrios can be with us for Our Church’s Feast Day Luncheon and the Cutting of the Vasilopita that will take place in our Church Hall immediately after the Divine Liturgy.

·       METROPOLIS OF CHICAGO FAMILY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT – Feb. 11-13, 2011 – We CANNOT register our own team after the Dec. 31st deadline, so we need to finalize this a.s.a.p. Whoever is interested should speak to Fr. Ciprian right away.
