•    TODAY - SACRAMENT OF HOLY UNCTION at 3:30pm (Nov. 1) – Everyone is strongly encouraged to return to church today, after you’ve had a chance to have your lunch, so as to participate in this rarely served, but beautiful and physically and spiritually beneficial service. This sacrament of healing that includes the anointing with holy oil is usually served on Great and Holy Wednesday. Another appropriate and common day for this service is today when we commemorate Sts. Cosmas and Damianos who were wonder-working unmercenaries, physicians without pay. These brothers dedicated their whole life, their talents, and all of their resources for the healing of others. We appeal to them for prayers to intercede on our behalf for our own healing.
