·         TODAY – NO Sunday School Classes today due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.

·         TODAY – PARISH COUNCIL NOMINEE SEMINAR – will take place immediately after Fellowship. All Parish Council Nominees MUST attend. It is indeed so pleasant to see increased interest and involvement from among our parishioners in the life and administration of our church.

·         TODAY – PAN-CRETAN ASSOCIATION Meeting – 3:00pm-5:00pm

·         CHRISTMAS PLAY PRACTICES – There is a practice TODAY (Dec. 28) after Fellowship. Two more practices will follow on Sat., December 11 at 11:00am (followed by a Pizza Party) and on Sun., December 12 (depending on how Saturday turns out).

·         SUNDAY SCHOOLSunday School students will help Renee Hadjis decorate the Christmas Tree next Sunday, Dec 5th. Sunday School families will sponsor fellowship on Sunday, December 19th after the Christmas Play. An email will be sent out to Sunday School families this week with more information and how you can help with this fundraiser.

·         CHRISTMAS ANGEL TREE TAGS – will be available next Sunday. Speak to Sandy for more details about this opportunity to donate Christmas gifts for needy/troubled children at Tanager Place.

·         Tue, Nov 30 – 5:30pm-6:30pm – Life Lessons from Gospel Readings Class

·         Wed, Dec 1 – Greek School - 4:30pm Beginners; 5:30pm Conversational; 6:15pm Adult

·         Sat, Dec 4 – 5:30pm Great Vespers & Altar Boy Training (young boys ages 6 and older)

·         Sun, Dec 5 – 9:00am Orthros; 10:00am Divine Liturgy; 11:30am Fellowship

·         Sun, Dec 5 – STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM & PARISH COUNCIL ELECTIONS

·         Sun, Dec 5 – 5:30pm Vespers for St. Nicholas

·         Sun, Dec 5 – 6:00pm HOPE & JOY St. Nickolas Event (starts with 5:30pm Vespers)

·         Mon, Dec 6 – St. Nickolas – 9:00am Orthros & 10:00am Divine Liturgy

·         Sun, Dec 12 AFTERNOON – SENIOR CITIZENS EVENT – Tickets for a popular Christmas Play in Anamosa MUST be purchased ahead of time. Edie has pre-purchased 10 tickets and is offering them on a first-come-first-served basis, but we must sell all of them so Edie & Ken is not stuck with the cost. Our usual Christmas White Elephant gift party will take place after the show.

·         Sat, Dec 18 – 9:30am-1:00pm Christmas Caroling to the elderly

·         Sat, Dec 18 – 5:30pm Vespers & GOYA Event

·         Sun, Dec 19 – CHRISTMAS PLAY & Sunday School Potluck Luncheon

·         PARISH FAMILY CHRISTMAS CARD – Only one more week to submit the form.

·         STEWARDSHIP – Stewardship Sunday Invitation Packets have been mailed. It is that time of the year again when we should make an effort to remember our beloved church and its needs during our generosity spurts of the Christmas season. Also give prayerful consideration to how much your pledge should increase for 2011 and join us for Stewardship Sunday on Dec. 5th.

·         HOPE & JOY St. NICHOLAS Event – We will meet at the church for St. Nicholas Vespers and then enjoy an eventful evening celebrating St. Nicholas. Child(ren) must be accompanied by at least one adult. If you have any questions, please call Elleni Huerter.

·         METROPOLIS OF CHICAGO FAMILY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT – Feb. 11-13, 2011 – Some interest has been expressed. Please let Fr. Ciprian know if you too would like to participate.

·         ANOTHER REMINDER – Return Tickets & Income from Dinner. Newsletter Deadline is Dec. 15.

·         PARISH ASSEMBLY – Long-term Planning Committee was established with distinct mission and purpose. There will be another presentation about this committee’s purpose and mission at which time sign-up sheet will be made available.
