·       TODAY – Memorial Service for Constantin Barbulescu – May his memory be eternal and his soul rest in peace among the saints. Vesnica Pomenire!

·       TODAY – ST. JOHN CLIMACUS – PAN-ORTHODOX SOLEMN VESPERS at 5:30pm in Dubuque, IA – This Pan-Orthodox Solemn Vespers will be hosted by St. Elias Church (1075 Rockdale Road, Dubuque, IA). Let’s try to replicate our participation for this out-of-town service. Speak during fellowship about car pool-ing.

·       EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI IN JAPAN – A special collection was done for the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan. Special prayer and Divine Liturgy petitions have been included in our worship; please remember those suffering in your personal prayers as well. If you’d like, you can still donate for this cause, just be sure to write “Japan” in the memo line.

·       May-June MESSENGER DEADLINE (Mon, April 11th - EARLY due to Holy Week services, etc.) is FAST APPROACHING. Parish ministry leaders, please speak to Fr. Ciprian THIS COMING WEEK so as to finalize and submit your May-June events on time.

·       SUNDAY SCHOOL – Congratulations to the Sunday School children who collected a little over $319 for the Orthodox Christian Mission Center. This amount surpassed the original goal of $300.  A new goal was set for $350 to be reached by Palm Sunday. Keep bringing in your coin boxes every Sunday. The money collected will be used to help Orthodox Christians who serve as missionaries, volunteer for Mission Teams and support the mission ministries of the Church to take the Gospel to people around the world. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. – Matthew 28:10. ·       Apr. 11 at 12noon-2pmSENIORS’ Project ART Event –Brown Bag Lunch at church followed by a program given by Joyce Summerwill, former director of the Project ART program at UIHC. She will speak on the development of the first in the nation ART Program at the U of I Hospital.
